Cashmere Care Guide
Taking care of your cashmere garments doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. We want to make it easy for you to keep your pieces in top condition with just a few essential tools. With our cashmere comb, a quality wool detergent, and a practical storage bag, you're already well-equipped. Read our simple tips below to care for your cashmere properly:
1. WASH
Cashmere garments can be washed in the washing machine. Use the delicate or hand wash program (maximum 30°C / 86°F and short spin cycle), and always use a wool-specific detergent. Avoid fabric softener, as it can damage the fibers. Alternatively, you can hand wash your garment by soaking it in lukewarm water (max 30°C). Be gentle and avoid wringing or stretching the fabric.
2. DRY
After washing, lay the garment flat on a clean towel. Avoid hanging or tumble drying your cashmere, as this may cause it to lose its shape.
3. IRON & STEAM
Cashmere can be ironed, but always use low heat (max 150°C / 300°F), ideally with a steam iron. You can also use a steamer to gently refresh the garment without risking heat damage.
4. STORE
To protect your cashmere, fold it and store it in a drawer or in a breathable storage bag. Avoid hanging cashmere items, as they can stretch over time. For extra protection, place a few cedar wood balls in your drawer – they help repel moths and other pests.
5. MAINTAIN
Pilling is a natural part of cashmere, especially in areas that experience friction (like under the arms). The shortest fibers may rise to the surface, but they can easily be removed
